One of the most anticipated events of the Coachella Valley Social Season is the Living Desert Zoo and Botanical Garden’s festive Brew at the Zoo. This year the fourth annual event will be held on May 4 on the spacious and beautifully landscaped grounds of the Living Desert. From 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM lucky guests will enjoy a wide range of the best beers and wines from around the world.
Three stages of live entertainment keep everyone amused along with plenty of delicious gourmet appetizers so no one gets too hungry. But perhaps the best news is that the proceeds from this always happy event go to help the endangered animals of the planet and provide scholarships for many of our local students. Now I don’t know about you, but anything that combines charity with a good time is sure to be something I am up for.
The event always provides unlimited nonalcoholic drinks for those who hold a designated drivers’ ticket. This is a clever and responsible way to make sure that no one who has enjoyed a bit too much of the delicious beer or wine will be driving. There is also a hangover prevention tent that is a prudent first visit upon arriving at the venue. The month of May has the perfect desert evenings replete with starry skies, cool breezes and the fragrance of blossoming flowers to make this outdoor event one of the most enjoyable of the entire year.
Although Palm Springs is world-famous and a favorite destination of many, people are always surprised and delighted to see the Palm Desert and La Quinta end of the Coachella Valley. I think they are surprised to see so many luxury homes and estates but it is the extremely high level of luxury amenities that really amazes them. The magnificent new casinos, high-end shopping, fine dining and extraordinary services of every kind are something people just don’t expect to see outside of Palm Springs
Of course the location of the Living Desert could not be any more beautiful. Surrounded by acres of pristine wilderness and perfectly maintained grounds it is one of the most peaceful areas of the valley. Springtime means that everything is awash in color and new life. Participating in the high-energy fun of Brew at the Zoo it is easy to appreciate their great motto “Saving wildlife one beer at a time” and resolve to make wildlife preservation a priority in your charitable repertoire! Doing something to help your community has never been easier or more fun. Looking forward to seeing you on May 4!
